A group of women got together one very warm day in September and said enough is enough! As simple as it sounds, that is how S.A. R.O.C.K.S. began its journey a few short months ago. Since then we have saved over 150 animals and are going strong. When I moved to San Antonio, I never imagined that I would meet this extraordinary group of strong women who were willing to take on such a big task. They are fighters and are willing to put it all on the line for the life of a helpless animal. Our goal is to save them all, but it starts with one.
San Antonio has not reached No Kill status and it takes a community to reach this goal. We can’t stress enough how important
it is to be responsible pet owners and spay and neuter your pets. We dream that the community will pull together and make San Antonio the city it deserves to be. We wish that we would no longer have to see the sad faces of the dogs on the euthanasia list pleading to be rescued. We wish that we no longer got the calls to help an animal in danger. However, it takes a village. In this case, it takes a city. Let’s make San Antonio No Kill! We can do this! These guys depend on us to take care of them! Hang on doggies we are working hard to save you!
